IRGC chief commander affirms commitment to fulfilling Leader’s directives

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Ahmad Vahidi has pledged the force’s full support for the Armed Forces General Staff under newly appointed chief Major General Ali Abdollahi, vowing to help implement the Leader’s directives and uphold a model of resistance against “Zionist-American” arrogance.

The IRGC commander made the pledge on Tuesday in messages congratulating Major General Abdollahi on his appointment as Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari as Abdollahi’s deputy.

Vahidi said the IRGC is fully prepared to cooperate and coordinate with the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces to enhance Iran’s defense and security readiness. He described the General Staff as having a strategic role in coordinating, planning and supporting the country’s Armed Forces.

The commander also said the IRGC considers itself committed to meeting the Leader’s expectations and supporting national objectives, while presenting itself as a model of resistance against the Israeli-US front.

In his message to Heydari, Vahidi also highlighted strengthening defense capabilities, boosting the forces’ morale and spiritual resilience, and addressing personnel welfare and livelihood needs.

He expressed hope that strategic coordination among the Armed Forces would contribute to stronger defense capabilities and growing national power, and greater unity under the slogan of a strong, united Iran.
