According to a statement released by the Quds Headquarters and carried by the IRGC’s news outlet on Saturday, the terrorist team was identified and targeted in a joint operation involving the General Directorate of Intelligence, the IRGC Intelligence Unit in Sistan and Baluchestan, and the provincial police.

The operation resulted in the killing of two members of the team, the statement said.

It added that the team, which was affiliated with the US and Israel, had been plotting to carry out terrorist attacks against preselected targets.

However, it was targeted before it could conduct any terrorist operation, according to the statement.
