According to Isar News, Diab, 63, also known as Abu Shahadeh and Abu Mohammad, was a member of the group’s central command, the Shahab news agency reported on Wednesday, citing a statement by the Palestinian Resistance Committees.
The group said Diab had devoted years to serving the Palestinian people and was among the first figures to participate in the establishment of the committees. He was also a prominent commander in the Gaza Strip and a co-founder of the group and its military wings in Khan Younis province.
According to the statement, Diab held several command positions during his years of activity.
The Palestinian Resistance Committees said the killing of its commanders and attacks on the Palestinian people would not weaken their resolve or deter them from pursuing their national rights.
