According to Isar News, Pezeshkian visited the shrine of the eighth Shia Imam, Ali ibn Musa al-Reza, during a brief trip to the northeastern Iranian city on Friday evening.

Following the pilgrimage, the president visited the mausoleum of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

He paid his respects to the martyred Leader by reciting a chapter of the Holy Quran.
