According to Isar News, Akraminia issued the warning on Saturday in a post on X, as the US and Israel are beating the drums of war against Iran while mediators continue diplomatic efforts to facilitate a return to negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
“Given the US president’s dark record of betraying diplomacy, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army continues to constantly upgrade its combat readiness, remaining distrustful of and undeterred by enemy actions,” the spokesperson wrote, stressing that the Army is closely monitoring US movements in the region.
“If the US president once again embarks on another adventurist move in the region under pressure and inducement from the Zionists, the flames of war will undoubtedly engulf a much wider geographical area, and he will not be the one to decide how the war ends,” he said, addressing US President Donald Trump.
Trump has stepped up threats of major new strikes against Iran in recent weeks while campaigning for Republicans ahead of the midterm elections scheduled for November 3. He has claimed that any new confrontation with Iran would be aimed at ending the war he launched alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on February 28.
