“We will not stop punishing the US until Iran’s seven conditions are met,” General Mohebbi announced on Friday, adding that Iran’s missiles are capable of destroying the multilayered US air defense systems.

He said the US expected Iran to surrender after deploying forces to the Persian Gulf, but instead encountered a different form of resistance from Iran.

The IRGC spokesperson said the Iranian nation has attained courage and national security through the sacrifices of the martyrs.

“We are the victors of the war and are turning it into permanent strategic deterrence,” he said.

Mohebbi said the US had claimed that its objective was to ensure maritime security, but has failed in this regard during the recent war.

“Despite having the world’s largest navy, the US could not keep the Strait of Hormuz open even for a few hours,” he said.

Washington claims the Strait of Hormuz is open to prevent a rise in oil prices, but the control of the waterway is in the hands of the IRGC naval forces, he underlined.

The general noted that before the war, dozens to more than 100 vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz every day, but now, only oil belonging to Iran’s trading partners passes through with Tehran’s permission.

He further said the US had used propaganda to portray itself as militarily technologically superior, but its advanced air, naval and ground equipment had been targeted by Iran’s Armed Forces during the recent war.
