Armed Forces of Iran Vow Unwavering Fight until Defeat of Enemies
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces vowed to continue confronting the US and the Zionist regime until the “complete defeat” of the enemies and the realization of the Iranian people’s rights.
In a Sunday statement marking the anniversary of the return of Iranian prisoners of war to the country after the end of the 1980s imposed war, the General Staff honored the country’s former POWs and congratulated veterans and their families on the occasion.
It described the eight-year Sacred Defense as a source of honor, pride and national identity for Iranians, saying the experience has become a symbol of self-reliance, freedom-seeking, resistance to oppression, allegiance to the Leader and insight among those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
It said Iranian youth stood against the world’s most heavily equipped military, the “criminal America,” in response to the call of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and under the leadership of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, adding that they have brought the enemy’s leaders to their knees.
The General Staff praised the Iranian nation’s steadfast determination and assured the people that it would not retreat from their legitimate demands or those of the Leader in confronting the “aggressive America.”
It added that Iran’s Armed Forces would continue their efforts until the complete defeat of the American-Zionist enemies in the region, the realization of the rights of the Iranian people and the enemy’s surrender.
