Defense Chief Highlights Iran’s Deterrent Power
Iran’s caretaker defense minister stressed that the country’s defense capabilities are aimed at preventing war and aggression, rather than waging war, while reaffirming Tehran’s determination to defend its territory, independence and security.
Brigadier General Majid Ebn al-Reza made the remarks in a message on Friday, marking Iran’s Defense Industry Day, emphasizing that Iran has never initiated aggression against another country and will not allow any military attack against the country.
“Iran’s defense power today is not for warmongering, but rather for preventing war and aggression. We have never been, and will never be, the initiators of aggression against any country,” the general stated.
“We are not people who engage in military aggression, but we will never allow military aggression against our territory, independence and security,” he underlined.
